A mouth cancer screening is part of all our dental examinations. The screening itself is a relatively simple treatment to perform, and we will always do our best to help our patients feel comfortable and relaxed when receiving a screening.
Put simply, during the treatment we will examine your mouth for red or white patches and feel for any swellings, sores, or other abnormalities that may be cause for concern.
If we find anything to be concerned about, we will either ask you to return for a follow-up appointment with us here at the practice or refer you to a hospital-based specialist.
