General dentistry

General dentistry focuses on maintaining healthy teeth and gums through routine examinations, hygiene care, and preventative treatment. Regular check-ups help identify issues early, support long-term oral health, and reduce the need for more complex procedures.

Our practice is rooted in providing patients with the best possible care at every stage of their dental health journey. We strongly believe in and invest in preventive care, and recommend regular dental check-ups as well as annual dental hygiene appointments to all our patients.

Our general dentistry provisions also include treatments such as fillings, bridges, crowns, inlays and onlays and tooth extraction. As a cosmetically focused practice, at Harley Private Dental, we bring an aesthetically-driven approach to all the restorations we provide.

We’ve also invested in digital technology, which means, thanks to our iTero machine we can use digital scans rather than uncomfortable impressions to help create your restorations. This helps make the treatment not only much more comfortable for the patient but also far more reliable and effective.

If you’re interested in becoming a new patient or would like to book an appointment with one of our team members, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Personalised care starts here

A consultation gives us time to understand your needs, explain your options clearly, and plan care that’s right for you.

Spread the cost of your treatment

We offer finance options through Chrysalis Finance to help make treatment costs more manageable. This allows eligible patients to spread the cost of treatment over time with clear, structured repayments. Finance is available at a representative 14.9% APR, subject to status and approval.

How the finance calculator works

Our finance calculator provides an indicative example of how treatment costs may be spread into monthly payments based on a 14.9% APR. Simply enter the estimated treatment cost and select a repayment term to view a guide price. Figures shown are for illustration only. Final repayment amounts will be confirmed following consultation and finance approval.

Using the calculator does not commit you to treatment or finance. It is designed to help you understand your options clearly, without pressure. Full details, including repayment terms and eligibility, will always be explained before you proceed.

What happens during a general dental appointment?

A general dental appointment typically includes an examination of your teeth, gums, and bite, along with a review of your medical and dental history. If required, X-rays or scans may be taken, and any findings or treatment options will be explained clearly.

Do I need general dentistry even if I don’t have pain?

Yes. Many dental issues develop without noticeable symptoms in the early stages. Routine check-ups help detect problems such as decay or gum disease before they become painful or require more extensive treatment.

How often should I have a dental check-up?

For most patients, regular check-ups are recommended every six months, although this may vary depending on your oral health needs. Your dentist will advise on an appropriate schedule following assessment.
